About Us

Our pocket size A6 high quality gloss print magazine has been going for over 23 years!

This publication serves our Community as an informative Guide and Directory of what is available on the KZN South Coast and also supplies valuable information on what services are available to the local community as well as advertising and promoting the many Business Owners in the area too.

The Pulse KZN Magazine was originally established in January 1998 with the aim to get information to the public, both for local residents and also for the many visitors and tourists who frequent our coastline on a regular basis. Through its duration in the first couple of years it went through a few changes in size, being A5 to A6, and then the name from “The Entertainer” to “The South Coaster” and then finally to now “The Pulse KZN Magazine”.

This magazine is distributed 4 x per year with a Summer, Autumn, Winter & Spring edition. We distribute 8000 copies per issue from Scottburgh to Port Edward and we have an added distribution point as well at the Green Lantern Inn which is situated in Van Reenen / Harrismith – the N3 Halfway Stop. The DIGITAL/ONLINE ISSUU version of the publication is marketed via SOCIAL MEDIA and also through the monthly PULSE NEWSLETTER (Database 2000 subscribers)

Our distribution is done through our many Advertisers, Selected Outlets, and High Foot Traffic areas.

Money will always be spent on PRINT advertising in South Africa.
Print is definitely not dead. No matter how big the web becomes or how powerful digital marketing dominates the market place. Print material will always form a crucial part of a brands overall identity as it stays in the hands of the consumer for a longer period of time. With so much fake news rampant across many social media sites these days, print and print marketing still offers the reader a stronger sense of credibility. Printed materials will always genuinely captivate an audience in a way that the digital world never will. Smart marketers today integrate their online and printing marketing strategies for a more well-rounded and impactful campaign.
